Sue
Eoff grew up in the Bay Area and first rode competitively
with NATRC, going on to win the President’s
Cup, and completing the Tevis Cup. After earning a B.S.
in Genetics at U.C. Davis, Sue interned at a Hungarian sport
horse breeding farm, which began her interest in breeds
and training techniques from around the world. Sue studied
classical riding for two years in Portugal and managed a
breeding farm and trained Lusitanos and Anglo-Lusitanos.
After working briefly for a circus trainer in France, Sue
worked at a German breeding farm preparing Trakehners for
evaluation and sale. She then spent two months outside Vienna
working with a leading rider-trainer from the Spanish Riding
School.
Following her return from Europe, Sue obtained her USDF
Fourth Level certification and bronze and silver medals.
When
she's not riding and teaching, Sue is working on her competitive
ballroom dance techniques. Sue finds that dancing improves
awareness of the movements of horse and rider which enhances
her ability to explain the mechanics of the partnership.
